As a new one-make series, round one of the Praga Cup saw the largest gathering of R1 race cars to date, with an exciting line-up of Professional and Amateur drivers set to compete in a thrilling display of all-action aero racing.
The R1 race cars are equipped with a customized BRAID cast wheel design. The front wheels are 8”x15” and the rears are 10.5”x16”. Both wheels are manufactured using fullflowcast technology that allows a suitable arrangement of the aluminium alloy structure and granulometry so that it greatly increases its mechanical characteristics. The result is a lighter wheel, more resistant, and much higher capacity of deformation at very strong impact, avoiding wheel cracks.
Arden Motorsport's Alexander Connor and Tom Canning won an exciting and action-packed race 1, while Charles Hall and Scott Mittell had a storming race 2 in changeable conditions on the Silverstone GP circuit, winning from the back of the grid.
The Praga Cup will return on April 2nd, at its home track, Oulton Park.
